Happy Spring! (Finally!)

We've had some crazy weather here in KS--snow followed by warm sunny days--and then more snow. But today felt like true spring and we all got outside to play.

It's been busy here, so I'll catch you up on life in "Musildome".

Jeff is gearing up for a fall deployment--taking lots of classes and stressing about all the paperwork. He and Taj are going on a Boy Scout camp out next week. And last weekend he took Zadina on a "date" to a movie.

I'm still making cards and scrapbooking, but our good camera took a bath when our garage flooded, so I don't have a way to get good pictures. I've also been very involved in getting our house pretty. My dad spent a few weeks here in March and is here again and we now have a bathroom in the loft with a door that CLOSES. Woohoo! Plus safe handrails! He does all the construction--but I'm pretty handy with a paintbrush! I'm also involved with church--serving on the board. And I've finally decided "what I want to be when I grow up". I'm going to start classes for my pre-pharmacy degree this fll at K-State--then apply to Creighton University in Omaha for their distance program for a Pharm D. degree (Doctor of Pharmacy) for the fall of 2011. I will have my degree in the spring of 2015.

Taj is reading real books now--he stays up and reads to his little sisters every night, now. He and Aria are plugging away in American history--they almost have all the presidents memorized in order (something I never learned, but am learning now!), and in math.

Aria has really been practicing for her tumbling and dance classes and we are looking forward to her recital next month. And her Girl Scout troop is going to an indoor water park this weekend--they worked really hard selling cookies for that!

Zadina is also looking forward to her recital--her dress is adorable and the little girls are all so cute! She is especially loving this great weather--she goes out and plays with Loki and comes in muddy and tired--but happy. Speaking of the dogs, Lily is now an indoor dog. She refused to stay in the fence and we finally got a ticket for her: $125! So she is in here with people and she's blissful. (Expensive lesson!)

Sascha is a little character! VERY stubborn! But sweet as can be--and very cuddly. She has decided that all the boys in the house are named "Ben"--and Grampa is "My Ben".

LB is growing and going through his terrible twos (he turned 2 at the beginning of March.) Those two are inseparable.

And LB's dad had a good visit home and should be back for good in the fall.

BC is no longer with us. If we've talked, you know the details.

NB is doing well--and her little one is growing and thriving. She just turned one and is RUNNING now. And eating real food. She's giving the two year olds a run for their money!
